I have now joined under the agamago user name which was processed no problem, so I will not use the freshmanwills handle on the forum Once again please accept my apologise for any confusion caused it was not my intention

Some members have recorded failure to shock absorber brackets, must admit not many, there are some posts in there somewhere, sorry but you will have to go through the posts as Bogwort47 never split them up to that level. Unless the members log back on and see this thread and get back to you personally.

I do hope that your email included photos to help KCS to deal with it quickly.

Yes attached 12 photographs
Only issue is I've been told. I'd have ti pay 115 per her for a inspection. Shall wait and see. They wouldn't even sell me the repair brackets as the part numbers don't existv

Finally had a reply
Dear Mr Rees
Thank you for contacting Paul Philpott, our president & CEO. I will be your point of contact throughout the remainder of your complaint.
I’m sorry to hear about your experience with your Kia Sorento.
As all our technical training lies within our dealers, we would always recommend visiting a Kia dealership for inspection. If the dealerships diagnose the fault to be due to the Rear Upper Arm Bracket, we would be unable to support towards the repair costs. As the part is no longer available to order, we would be able to provide £175, as this is the cost of the repair. To redeem this, we would welcome contact from the dealership directly to be able to make the necessary arrangements. Please be aware the cost of recovery/ diagnosis is not something we would look to cover.
If the vehicle has been diagnosed by one of our Kia dealers already, or you have booked your vehicle in to be diagnosed, please let me know which dealership this is with, so that I can discuss your concerns with them directly.
In reference to the images you describe, I’m afraid these do not seem to be present, however if appropriate, I will ask that the dealership provides you with a suitable email address should they wish to look at these in further detail.
In the meantime, if there is anything else I can help you with, please get in touch via email or call us on 0333 2022 990.
Kind regards
Victoria Watson Assistant Team Manager Kia Motors UK
